Having completed the season finale for the second season of Sam & Max, Telltale games has apparently found time to work on some other projects leading to some exciting announcements. It was only a year and a half ago when Telltale was having some difficulty getting noticed by Nintendo with regard to their desire to bring Sam & Max to the Wii. Thankfully, the big N was able to hear the outcry of gamers and Sam & Max: Season 1 is on the way to Nintendo’s WiiWare service. This announcement was long due and expected, however, Telltale’s most recent reveal was much more surprising…and awesome.

Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People (SBCG4AP for short) will be arriving on Nintendo’s WiiWare service and on the PC in an episodic format. There will be “five adventure-packed actionsodes” with the first episode arriving this June. Simple controls and online connectivity are promised but few specific details are available at this point in time. The press release includes a comment from Strong Bad that gives us a basic idea of what to expect, namely, “a point-and-click-em-up adventure”:

“Telltale has been rejecting my ideas for green text adventures for years,” laments thousandaire gadabout Strong Bad, “but we finally reached a compromise with this puffy 3D point-and-click-em-up adventure. They claim all the coding was done with green text, so I guess that’s pretty cool.”

We can expect Strong Bad creators, Matt and Mike Chapman of Homestarrunner.com to be deeply involved, lending their voices and their acclaimed sense of humor to the project. The site for the game is up and includes screens, a trailer, and an amusing FAQ. An additional preview can be found at Homestarrunner.com.
