    Red Ring Wrap-up

    By Bill Tangeman | March 5, 2008

I’m on my second Xbox 360 and I treat it like a delicate flower so as to delay buying my third. It sits alone on a large shelf away from other electronics. Cool air flows around it from all sides, even from below. So imagine my horror when I opened up this Sunday’s Target ad to find that they’re giving away free system wrap with a GTA IV pre-order. Who are the geniuses that came up with this concept? How can it be a good idea to cover up a console that is notorious for heat related malfunction with black, heat absorbing plastic?

    • The question is, is it wrapped up entirely or is there holes in the wrap where the vents etc. are?

Yes there do appear to be spaces for the air vents, and I'm sure that some people have put this wrap on their 360 with having experienced problems. It's just that after my first 360 failed and I sent it back and it failed again 2 weeks later...I'm not taking any chances with this one.
