NFL Head Coach 09 Becomes a Madden 09 Bundle Item
A few years ago, Electronic Arts decided to make a football management sim using the exclusive NFL license that they had signed a year before. It was to be in the vein of Football Mogul, but it would use the Madden engine to show the action on the field. The only problem is that the game really sucked, and no one bought it.
Not to be deterred from milking every last drop from an exclusive license, EA Sports announced they would return to the NFL Head Coach franchise. They talked about how improved the interface would be and that it would be a lot more fun to play. Of course, in true EA fashion, they have decided that they will not sell the product as a stand alone product anymore.
Yep, if you want this game, you will have to buy the $90 collector’s edition of Madden 09. Thanks EA, I am so appreciative of this gesture. I mean $60 for an average at best football game is not enough, but to make it so I have to pay a 50% premium to get that additional game, thanks, but no thanks.
