Bungie Fixes A Huge Microsoft Error

If you take a look at the console on the left, you will see a 360 that has been signed by the Bungie Team, along with some people from Rooster Teeth Productions. it is a sweet looking drawing of Master Chief, and when you look at it, you realize how much sentimental value could be wrapped up in this console. So imagine having to send this console into Microsoft, explaining the designs on it and how you would like it returned, only to have it come back scrubbed clean. It is a horror I could not imagine.

Well, this story actually happened to one Nathaniel. He got the infamous Red Ring of Death on his 360. He called the support number and notated times and names of the people he talked to about the art on his 360. He wanted it returned as it was shipped out to Microsoft, because of the personal value to him. Well, it did not happen that way. Along the way, the box was wiped clean of every signature, art and script lines. Absolutely barren of anything.

A blogger by the name of bsangel, took Nathaniel’s case to Bungie, explaining what happened. They were shocked as some of them remembered signing the case. They put together a little something for Nathaniel in the way of a huge care package. I am not sure how much the cost of all of this, but it was highly impressive and shows how Bungie does truly care about its fans.

How has Microsoft responded to the situation? So far, beyond some hyperbole, there has not been much. They have apologized for the situation and have promised a replacement item that should hold the same sentimental value to Nathaniel, but so far, there has been nothing. The Bungie guys got everything together and to Nathaniel in six days. Now a couple of weeks have gone by and there are no other responses from Microsoft. I expect better from Microsoft and this is very disappointing. I hope that they decide to fix this issue and soon as it just leaves more wondering if they even care about their fanbase.
