Valve would prefer to bring Left 4 Dead to, and develop on, Wii; “Source is really scalable.”
With Valve’s stuff already on 360 and PS3, you know, Orange Box and all, it seems strange to hear them say they’d be more likely to develop in-house stuff for Wii. I suppose those were PC ports, and this guy did say develop. In the context of Left 4 Dead not currently being planned for PS3 because nobody at PlayStation seems interested, he said they’d be more likely to bring it to Wii. He elaborated in another context later, as follows:
Lombardi also revealed that, “If Valve were to develop in-house for another format, it would be the Wii. It’s growing, there’s already a huge user-base, and it’s fun. Source is really scaleable. We can do that.”
Original stuff would be fine, but I’m not an exclusivity whore really. In fact, I’d love to play Portal, since everyone speaks so highly of it and I love Still Alive even without understanding the context. So maybe we could get Source over to Wii, bring some Portal, and then go from there.
