Popcap Brings Peggle To The Live Marketplace

Popcap games, makers of all kinds of casual PC games like Bejeweled, Bookworm and Bonnie’s Bookstore has decided to add to its share on the Xbox Live Marketplace, with the soon to be released Peggle. Peggle is a simple game that plays like the old Price is Right game Plinko. You have a ball that you launch from the top of the screen and bounce it off of pegs trying to clear all the red pegs before you run out of balls. The premise sounds simple, but it is highly addictive and has that “one more round of gameplay before bed” type of gameplay that gamers love.
Garth Chouteau, PR director for Popcap games has also announced that there will be downloadable levels that will add to the Peggle experience in the marketplace. He did not have an answer for the question of whether the new levels would have a cost, but they would like to release them for free. The game will also support multiplayer, but we still do not know how it will work exactly.
