Uwe Boll Watch: Dungeon Siege Underwhelms At Box Office

Despite mind boggling star power, Dungeon Siege apparently pulled in only $3.4 million, placing it squarely in 14th place for the weekend. Now, I have loved every movie I’ve ever seen with Ron Perlman, but not even his awesomeness (think Fallout intros) could seemingly save this abomination of movie-making.

Coming up soon for the director that just doesn’t seem to get knocked down, we have the Far Cry movie, Bloodrayne 3 (huh?) and Alone in the Dark 2. That’ll pretty much wrap up his video game licenses, except for the recently acquired Legend: Hand of God, which should be noted is an Action RPG which hasn’t been released yet. Supposedly, he’s going to shoot Legend: Hand of God in 2009 with a $40 million budget. I thought the German tax loophole had been plugged, so I’m not sure how this guy is still getting money to make films.

Hmm, maybe it’s a conspiracy. Someone is giving Uwe Boll in an attempt to completely undermine the quality of American cinema. Obviously, that would point to the British/Russian/Bollywood film illuminati which would increase the value of their own films immensely. CURSE YOU, PUTIN! STOP GIVING UWE BOLL MONEY!

That’s $3.4 million more than it should have made.

Seriously all that money should have been donated to Child’s Play instead. Anything, anything instead of such terrible movie fare.
