Stor3d: Tori Emaki and Mesmerize: Trace; Turok and FIFA Street 3 Demos.
Free stuff beats pay stuff, of course, so I’ll mention right off the top that there are new themes this week covering Call of Duty 4, PAIN: Ice Tea, and Tori Emaki. What’s Tori Emaki? It’s one of the two new USD 1.99 PS Eye interactive art games out this week. In this one you guide a flock of birds through what looks like Japanese painted countrysides. The other PS Eye interactive art item, also USD 1.99, is Mesmerize: Trace, a follow-on to the original Mesmerize item with four new visual toys.
Alongside the free themes there are free demos today with Turok landing with a more-than-1-Gig thud on your hard drive if you so choose and a FIFA Street 3 demo. Guess which one is about killing dinosaurs? While you think it over the Rock Band folks out there can count their three new songs this week at typical pricing and MotorStorm fans can scoop up an easy two-pack of tracks for a measly USD 2.99.
There are a heap of trailers also available this week including one for PixelJunk Monsters which is due out next week and trailers for Lost Planet, Syphon Filter: Combat Ops, Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway, Borderlands, and Dynasty Warriors 63. I mean 6, Dynasty Warriors 6.
My kids really like Mesmerize (which looks to have been renamed Mesmerize: Distort), so getting Mesmerize: Trace is a no-brainer for me. I’m not sure about Tori Emaki, though. I’ll give the trailer a look and decide later. Given the low light in my living room I’m not sure it’ll work all that well, especially after the frustrating and terrible performance I get out of that monster guiding PS Eye game.
Happy downloading!
