Ones to Watch for PSP in January 2008

    By Paul Munn | January 1, 2008

From Capcom’s Harvey Birdman: Attorney At Law to Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice there’s quite a variety of games coming to the PSP in January. I’m somewhat interested in what looks to be a 2.5D platformer from Taito called Rainbow Islands Revolution, but the port of FlatOut: Head On (apply directly to the forehead?) isn’t something I recall anyone asking for. Rounding out the group we have Bomberman Land which is yet another minigame heavy port of the Bomberman franchise.

Given how long the original Pursuit Force has been out in the wild I’m thinking that its sequel will get the most traction at retail but with sales for the PSP doing very well in recent months I wouldn’t be surprised if gamers are looking to branch out and try new games. The family friendly nature of Rainbow Islands Revolution could pull in some new gamers but I’m not betting on it to break any new ground in the genre.
