LittleBigPlanet Earth View Appears, Due Out Fall 2008
There have been rumors that LittleBigPlanet was coming in Fall of this year, but new video footage taken at CES in Las Vegas confirms it. A Sony representative demoing the software talks about a possible beta in the summer with a fall release.
It also gave us a peek at what online view of the software might hold. After completing the level the Sony rep does note that the game will be demoed at the GDC next month and shows off a globe view of the earth with stickers on it denoting level popularity. You can decide where your level is placed based on where you live, and if your level is played a lot, he says, the icon for your level will get bigger. Interesting concept.
As for a Fall release, I’ve heard that before about PlayStation Home and that still isn’t open to the public.
