Deadline Games Announces Faith and a .45
Deadline Games, the developer behind Total Overdose and Chili Con Carnage, has announced a new game that will be set in the era of The Great Depression. The game is titled Faith and a .45, and it follows Luke and Ruby, two individuals that are on the run from a great oil company. As with all of their games, it will include guns, cars and lots of explosions along the way.
I know I am not the first one to think this, but a similarity to Bonnie and Clyde immediately came to mind while reading this description. With the exception that Bonnie and Clyde were bad guys, while Luke and Ruby are portrayed as the little guys fighting against the man. The game has been announced for next gen consoles, so I would assume 360 and PS3. No announcement of a PC version, but more will be revealed at GDC in February.
I have never played Chili Con Carnage, but Total Overdose came out for the PC and while it did not have the best story, the over the top action was a lot of fun to play. If they can duplicate the formula of that game with some tighter story elements, this could be a solid hit for the company.
