Super Stardust HD Upgrade Gives New Features, Expansion Placeholders.
My favorite PlayStation Network title Super Stardust HD is getting an upgrade as well as at least one expansion in the future. PSU has the details about a new version 2.02 of the game that has hit the EU store and, for now, requires them to erase the game from their hard drives and re-download it to get these new features at no extra cost:
- DualShock 3 support.
- Custom soundtracks.
- High scoreboard now also shows the session time (how long it took to get the score) and the time the score was submitted.
- Stats for “how long you’ve played, how many of each enemy you’ve killed and how many times you’ve completed each level in the new game statistics section.”
- slot for a “coming soon” Single player Expansion.
- slot for a “coming soon” Multiplayer Expansion.
I wonder if the stats are attached to a player profile you can bring up for folks on your friends list. Here’s hoping it hits the US soon and gets a heads-up on the PlayStation Blog.
