Stor3d: Burnout Paradise Demo; High Velocity Bowling, Need for Speed, Rock Band Add-Ons.
The big deal this week on the PS3 Store is the Burnout Paradise Demo. Clocking in at 768 Megs it promises some single-player and online entertainment for the game, which is due out late January 2008. I’m waiting patiently for it to download, as are many other PS3 owners judging by the slow speed of the file transfer. To be fair, I don’t know what I’m grumbling about. It’s not like I can play it until my kids are in bed anyway. So go download it and comment below on how it is.
Punk Pack 1 for Rock Band, two new High Velocity Bowling characters, and a bevy of Need For Speed Pro Street bundle Add-Ons are now also for sale. Those ProStreet bundles are, oddly enough, all materials that you can unlock using normal gameplay. I’m not kidding, the description for them actually is nice enough to tell you that. If you’re stuck, or lazy, I guess that’s another way to get the goodies. Details after the jump.
Punk Pack 1 for Rock Band at USD 5.49. The tracks are also sold separately at USD 1.99 each.
- “I Fought The Law” by The Clash
- “Rockaway Beach” by The Ramones
- “Ever Fallen In Love” (cover) as made famous by the Buzzcocks
Two new High Velocity Bowling characters are now available. Mike and Amber are USD 0.99 apiece.
Need for Speed ProStreet bundles:
NFS: Ultimate Bundle, USD 9.99 — Unlocks all performance packages.
NFS: Muscle Car Bundle, USD 4.99
NFS: Sports Car Bundle, USD 4.99
NFS: Tuner Car Bundle, USD 4.99
NFS: Lamborghini Murcielago, USD 2.99
NFS: Nissan GT-R (R35), USD 2.99
NFS: Pagini Zonda F, USD 2.99

That’s all for this week for the PS3. Look for another post coming up covering the PSP Store if it gets an update today. They got a Wipeout Pulse demo for the PSP over in the UK and EU, I think so maybe we’ll see that today.
