Project developers offer Wii Opera SDK on Hullbreach website
Hullbreach is a browser-based space MMORPG designed for the Wii Internet Channel, which uses the motion control functionality in the Wii Remotes. The developers behind the game have coded their own SDK for use with the browser, and are offering it for download on their website. Updates on the game are available right here. They’re claiming they’ll have it ready by the end of the year.
Browser games that use the buttons on the Wii Remote have been around for a little while now, but this, to my knowledge, is the first publicly available kit that allows developers to use the motion input. Really cool stuff with a lot of potential. This is the first I’m hearing of the SDK, but I’m guessing it won’t be the last. Note that the EvilAvatar post below misinterprets the news as having something to do with Nintendo or Opera, which it does not.
