MotorStorm 3.1: Better than Windows 3.1.

You know you’re old when you can remember versions of Windows before Windows 95, and that’s just what seeing “3.1″ in a software version reminds me of. The new 3.1 version of MotorStorm is now available if you hit the “Online” option in the game and it adds some nice new features.
First up, the host of the online game can opt for vehicle selection to be done using a 2D grid instead of in 3D, speeding up what most people still consider the most irritating load time in the game.
Secondly, the game host can opt to reverse the entire level geometry for existing tracks. That means in the past when you went left you’d now go right. Sounds like a nice way to make those hotshots out there suddenly veer into a rock wall when they think they know what’s coming next.
Also included is a new proximity meter in MotorStorm mode like the one present in Eliminator mode and two new music tracks, ‘Devils Crossing’ by Elite Force and ‘Beat The Devil’ by Jiffster (Featuring Bard).
One thing unchanged with this game? The download speed of these patches is pretty slow.
