Bioshock Widescreen Is.

Just after Bioshock launched there was some hue and cry over the finding that Bioshock’s widescreen implementation on the Xbox 360 wasn’t really widescreen. Today’s Xbox 360 patch for the game, -er I mean update for the game fixes that some three and a half months later.
Is it me, or have all of the hardcore gamers that really cared a lot about this widescreen issue already long since finished up Bioshock? I’m not saying it’s easy to fix these kinds of things, and it’s really nice of them to do so for folks wanting to go back and maybe play it again or people just jumping in for the first time, but I do think it’s a bit late.
Not that the widescreen problem kept the game from getting extremely high marks and oodles of praise from just about every quarter. So in case you’re looking for something to get the Rated-M gamer with a new Xbox 360 this holiday season, the game’s 96% rating on MetaCritic really does all the talking.
