Submitted by on December 10, 2007 – 2:48 amNo Comment

We are back this week and recognizing that this podcast has gone global as we are now reaching listeners in Poland. Of course we ruin it all when Joe cannot seem to say the correct name of the former Prime Minister of Poland. As always, we want to ask all the listeners to Digg the podcast and to review us on iTunes. It boosts the podcast in searches when you do this.

We put together some titles to recommend to the family of listeners when it comes to great Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanza gifts. The discussion turned to the Wii phenomenom in general and whether this shortage is artificial or truly an issue that Nintendo cannot seem to comprehend. Stephen mentioned how a lot of third party developers are ignoring the platform, due to getting burned on the Gamecube. Activision has finally acknowledged that there may be some problems with some customers getting the “full audio experience”. Stephen mentions having the issue, but has no clue when he or any other customer will see a replacement disc.

In news, we had the new GTA IV trailer come out, which Stephen and Joe both agree looks really good. Joe mentions that the game looks to have lost a lot of its stutter and shutter, and has a much more clean and refined look. The makers of Eve Online released their long awaited Trinity update only to not realize that the upgrade will wipe out an XP install by erasing the boot.ini file. Score one for the QA department. The new Final Fantasy IV trailer, and it looks really good. We have included some of the music from the trailer here in the podcast so enjoy. Finally, we have Naughty Dog talking up Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune becoming a huge franchise for them. At this point, Joe mentions Doc Savage and crickets start playing, because Stephen has no clue who he is. Stephen compares him more to a mix of Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones.
