Review: Dragon Ball Z – Ultimate Tenkaichi (PS3)

October 28, 2011 – 12:44 pm |

I really liked last year’s DBZ game, Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit 2. It felt like the franchise had finally achieved some serious attention with a game that was both deep and fun.

Aeropodcast #17: The Jeff Gerstmann Incident

Submitted by on December 6, 2007 – 1:27 amNo Comment

Tonight, it is just Joe in sunny California and George in the near arctic cold in South Dakota heading up this podcast and it was a strange affair indeed as George had to redirect his SkypeID to a landline to participate due to his less than adequate Internet access. Technical difficulties aside, it turned out to be a great show that covered a lot of topics including the biggest story of the week, the whole Jeff Gerstmann/Gamespot debacle. Remember to Digg the podcast and to review us on iTunes. It boosts the podcast in searches when you do this.

What Are We Playing:
George – Crysis, Mass Effect, Super Mario Galaxies, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Geometry Wars Galaxies
Joe – Crysis, Kane and Lynch, FEAR: Perseus Mandate, Empire Earth III

Our two main topics tonight were looking at the new Dashboard update for the 360. The update reorganizes the blades a bit and adds Divx support and the Feed, which looks like it might allow outside content at some point. The second topic looks at how Jeff Gerstmann of Gamespot was summarily fired for what appears to be the fact that he would not change a score on the Kane and Lynch review. We may never know what the truth is behind the incident, but it will cast a horrible shadow on Gamespot and their reviews.

Our news this week focused on Bioshock 2′s rumored development and how it is proceeding without Ken Levine at the helm. Seems there were some difficulties dealing with him during the development of Bioshock. The other big item was the Activision-Blizzard merger and how this new 800-pound gorilla will change the landscape in the gaming arena.
