It wasn’t long ago that we here at Aeropause were giggling on our podcast about Soldier of Fortune: Payback and all the chunky bits of enemy that were spraying around the screen. Actually, the only one who was giggling was our esteemed guest in that podcast, but we all had plenty to say. We were expecting this game to appear at a $20 price point for some reason, but it’s at $40 on PC, and $60 on 360 and will be so later this month when it appears on PS3, which is a surprise. Payback revels in its goriness, something that, depending on your perspective, could be a fun or troubling thing. I would feel hypocritical complaining about a gory game right now with the one I’m working on, so I’ll just leave it at that.
