Sierra drops the skinny on their Ghostbusters game.

Additional information now tells us that Ernie Hudson (Ghostbuster Winston “When someone asks you if you’re a god, you say yes!” Zeddemore) and Annie Potts (Receptionist Janine “We got one” Melnitz) will also be lending their talents to the game, as well as Brian Doyle Murray (Bill Murray’s brother, who played a psychiatrist in Ghostbusters II) and that Terminal Reality (Blood Rayne) and Red Fly Studio (Mushroom Men) will be splitting development for Sierra.

Specifically, Terminal Reality will be doing the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions, and Red Fly Studios will be doing the PS2, Wii, and DS versions.

Players will apparently not play as any of the Ghostbusters, but rather as a new recruit to the team in an “event-driven” new story, set in the time period of the two films (that would be 1984 and 1989). We’re told that we should expect the game in fall 2008. They also announced an official website, which has a short teaser advising that we ought not cross the streams, or something to that effect.

    Hee hee “…you say YES!”

Am I the only one that is disappointed that the game is not being made by Zootfly. The footage they created was really good, and I wanted to play this.

Right now, I don’t trust anything too highly coming out of Sierra after the dump they laid on PC players called Scarface.
