Resistance Patch 6 Brings Rumble, Screen Capturing, Tweaks.
A new patch dubbed “Patch 6″ is now available for Insomniac’s signature PS3 shooter Resistance: Fall of Man. It implements a variety of multiplayer tweaks as well as adding a few new features.
Dual Shock 3 support is added for both single-player and multiplayer games for those lucky devils on import preorder lists. If you have a USB keyboard plugged in while you play you can now take screen shots that are sent directly to the Xross Media Bar’s Photos section. That for me is very interesting. While this is only for Resistance, it really shows Insomniac’s skills with the PS3 hardware and makes me wonder if there are any other console games that can do this? I remember Final Fantasy XI able to take screen shots on the PS2, so that is also probably available on the 360 version.
The new features don’t end there, either, with password protection options added to online games and a new Aggressive team rebalancing mode that will split up players according to kill numbers. The password protection option has a nice feature where players you invite to the room won’t need to enter the password.
You can see the full list of tweaks and fixes over at Kotaku.
