Tiny Diggers – An iPad Construction Truck Game for Kids Age 2-5

According to Epic VP Mark Rein, UT3 on the PS3 is going to allow a 3.5GB install of, “a bunch of the commonly used content on your hard drive to speed up loading and texture streaming times a bit.” I’m thrilled to see this option being available, taking advantage of my PS3′s hefty 60GB drive. I only wish I had the same option for MotorStorm, which has some pretty brutal load times.

“It does not install everything – you still have to put the disc in the drive to run the game. The install is absolutely not essential. The game runs just fine from the Bluray and load times aren’t bad but if you’re going to play the game a lot, and you’ve got an extra 3.5Gb on your hard drive, then you might as well do the install because the few seconds you save here and there will add up over time. If you want to free up space you can delete the installed data at any time.”

The more I read about it, the more excited I get about UT3. I only wish they hadn’t decided to go with Gamespy’s online technology. I have yet to play a “Gamespy-powered” online game without some sort of connection trouble.
