Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Announced

milk'n it.My favorite title of this new generation is getting the sequel treatment courtesy of Ubisoft Montreal. According to CVG, Rainbow Six Vegas 2 has been announced by Ubisoft and will hit the PC, PS3 and 360 in March, 2008. The game will once again be set in Las Vegas and feature an entirely new Single Player campaign along with competitive and cooperative online modes.

With it’s plethora of online multiplayer modes to choose from, R6V has had incredible legs for me. Heck, I even played it last night! I actually owned the game on the Xbox 360 and when the downloaded Red Pack caused my 360 version to crash, I purchased the game for PS3 and haven’t looked back. So I purchased this game twice for full price, that’s how much I enjoy it.

Even so, I’m definitely skeptical about how unique this title will actually be. I loved GRAW and played it every Thursday for months; the co-op was uber fun. I opted out of Ubisoft’s regurgitation entitled GRAW 2; refusing to pay for a glorified expansion pack. After all, without the duck-and-cover mechanic in multiplayer, I was no longer interested.

If R6V2 brings enough to the table, I’d be willing to invest in it but I’ll definitely have to wait and see.

BWAHA I love the milk carton. R6V is still fantastic fun, but I think another year or revving up the graphics and physics could make it phenomenal.

Not that the physics is bad, but the graphics could be a bit better.

Still I can’t imagine buying the new one until I work hardwer at leveling up my character and take a run at more medals and trophies.

Plus I never really play the deathmatches. I’ve tried a few and there are people with ridiculous amounts of unlocked outfits for their soldiers. The terrorist hunts and co-op missions are what I like most.

R6V could definitely use a graphical upgrade. If you ever fire up COD4, you’ll really see what you’re missing.
