Leopard Problems Hurting Gamers Too

leopard_bsod_200x191.jpgProblems with a new operating system? For Windows users it’s newsworthy NOT to have problems when running their newest operating system, but the latest and greatest Mac OS seems to have needed a bit more testing before getting in the time machine and jumping to retail. Leopard adopters are finding data loss problems as well as situations where the firewall won’t obey an order to allow World of Warcraft to see the internet.

Add on things like systems locking up and getting an actual honest-to-goodness blue screen of death and you have something that must be making the Microsoft tech support people smile rather knowingly. Apple must be feeling a bit like Scott Bakula after a Quantum Leap in: “Oh boy.”

Apple is also apparently locking message board threads to try and stem the tide of angry venom. That always works and doesn’t raise the problem’s profile at all, doesn’t it?

Seen on Tom’s Guide.
