Hudson resurrects Dungeon Explorer franchise on handhelds.

It wasn’t too long ago that we were talking about the TurboGrafx-16 RPG Dungeon Explorer‘s delayed appearance on the Wii Virtual Console, due to emulation issues. Hudson has announced that they’ll be bringing back the franchise for a pair of new games, one for the PSP and one for the Nintendo DS. To make that clearer, these will be two separate games, both known as Dungeon Explorer: Warriors of Ancient Arts, and both to sport “deep and customizable multiplayer adventuring.”

According to the press release, which you can read below, the DS version is a sequel to the PSP one, and the DS version will feature online multiplayer via Nintendo WiFi Connection, while the PSP’s multiplayer will be Ad-Hoc. I had to look that up because I couldn’t remember which one that was.
