Go get GameTap and play Psychonauts for free. And me, without my PC.

pc_game.gifOne of the last things I did on my PC, I think it was on Steam, was download and play the Psychonauts demo. I really enjoyed it, at least until I got stuck trying to flip myself up some wall by swinging and jumping from a number of bars that were sticking out. It was a lot of fun up until that point, and if I had been able to save in the demo, I’m sure I would have come back to it.

Psychonauts is also available on GameTap’s service, and now it has become one of the games they offer for free. That’s right, all you need to do is download GameTap’s free client and you can play Psychonauts for free. The only catch is you need to be running Windows to play PC games over GameTap. You’ll notice I called it “one of the last things I did on my PC.” My PC isn’t gone really, it’s packed up in a closet, but I’m fully committed to my Mac now. I don’t have an SP2 edition of XP, so I can’t run bootcamp and dual-boot Windows on here. This totally figures. Once again, Psychonauts is cheaply available on a platform I no longer own. I can’t fault them for trying.
