ESPN Brings New Content to the Live Marketplace
ESPN has entered into a new marketing agreement with Microsoft, that will see the introduction of sports themed programming to the Xbox Live marketplace. Some of the shows that will come to the marketplace include “Madden Nation”, “The World Series of Poker”, “The Contender” along with some great college matchups. The deal will also include some live programming events including the 13th Annual X Games.
I am not sure how they will handle the live events. Will the actually stream the events live, or if they will just be downloadable versions of the recorded events, similar to the Comicon and Tokyo Game Show footage that was available on the marketplace. No pricing was released for the content at this time, but one has to figure that it will be inline with most of the other programming that is available on the marketplace from other distributors.
