Double Dribble headlines Shop Channel releases for Virtual Console.
My memories of Double Dribble on NES are clear, and I hope they are the same for James. The Konami basketball game was fast and fun, though it didn’t have the ridiculous stills of Magic Johnson that Fast Break had (Offensive foul!), or its exciting Four Score support, it did have that great slam-dunk cutscene. A true third party classic.
Also appearing today for download are Vegas Stakes for Super NES and Ecco Jr for Sega Genesis. There was an Ecco Jr?
Anyway, back to the Four Score. Are we going to see support for those games on the Wii Virtual Console? How hard would it really be to write that into the emulator? Hmm. Hey wait, NES Play Action Football had Four Score support. That game’s already on there. Can anyone sound off on whether that can be played four player?
Aha. According to this review on IGN, it does support that.
