Zzap 64 – The Commodore 64 Game Magazine

Back in the 80′s there was a magazine for Commodore 64 games called ZZap64. You might need to wear shades, but check out the cool retro colours in the image above and game titles, then glance at the price. Aren’t game magazines now double that cost? Oh and on the bottom you’ll notice that you can win a Sony Walkman that plays music on a tape cassette people, on magnetic tape!

    double the price in a span of 25 years is actually very good value for money!. There’s such a thing as inflation and most things have gone up quite a bit more in that timespan. (houses for example have in many cases become more than 10x as expensive)

    I was all about ‘Compute Gazette’. Nothing better than sitting down for 12-14 hours at a stretch to type in those long ass game programs. Then having to go through and edit over the mistakes everytime an error message popped up.
