Warhawk Updates Coming With Enforcers

WarhawkTwo patches for Warhawk are in the works. The first, 1.1 patch for Warhawk is due by the end of October and the second, 1.2 patch is slated for mid December. In addition to fixing some vexing stat bugs and ironing out some connection issues the 1.1 patch will herald the arrival of Warhawk Arbiters. The Arbiters are a group of players authorized by Incognito to check on griefer behavior and investigate players with unusually high stats. The 1.2 patch will include new features and additional bug fixes and lay the groundwork for sales of add-ons.

The 1.1 patch also bumps the Clan ceiling up from 32 to 64 members and introduces a new feature: Player-Ranked Servers. In the current Warhawk game, you can only host a Ranked server in dedicated mode — that is, you can’t play on the Ranked server you host. The new patch will allow you to host a Ranked server and play on it at the same time.

But, says Dylan Jobe of Incognito, “if you abuse this server type, the Warhawk Arbiters will render judgment on you[r] account!”

The second, 1.2 patch has more meat to it.

In addition to even more tweaks and fixes it will have the following:

- Clan game server option.
- PSN Buddy List reservations.
- More server filtering on “player, ranked, dedicated, clan, Official Warhawk, full/open”.
- auto-kick of idle players
- 5 new layouts

What’s a layout? A layout is a new subsection of an existing level which in these cases are optimized for 4-8 person matches. It’s not a new level, just a new way of divvying up existing levels to suit these smaller matches.

Incognito is also definitely going to be selling at least one add-on called a Booster Pack. The 1.2 patch will allow access to a Warhawk Store directly from the game instead of requiring you to go out to the XMB and then buy the add-on from there.

Lots more goodies, tweaks, and fixes are described in the article, including a VOIP volume increase for folks not using a headset. That would be those folks who might use the PlayStation Eye.
