That Other Desktop OS Gets An Upgrade

    By Paul Munn | October 30, 2007

Leopard BoxNot everyone that games on a desktop uses Microsoft Windows. (Oops did I forget the TM or R or whatever for that? I should edit that, really.) I didn’t realize it until I read the Introduction to the Mac OS X 10.5 “Leopard” review that this new Mac OS X is just about seven years old now, and this most recent update’s been in the oven for two and a half years.

ArsTechnica is one of my favorite sites for reviewing hardware, software, and games, and they put Leopard under the microscope to see what it offers both current and potential Mac users. Next time your PC flips out, remember, there is another way.

    Seen on ArsTechnica, of course.

So another $99 service pack for the mac. When does it end.
    • Yeah it is pretty funny how they can charge a hundred plus bucks for the same core OS every couple of years, and people buy it.

That said, I think this one has some major feature updates that could be worth it for current users.

Yeah there's some pretty cool new cosmetic features in Leopard. Time machine can be good and bad. I actually played nothing but Mac games on a Mac II all through high-school. Sim City to name one.
