The PS3 gets the long-awaited quite-relaxing Everyday Shooter this week for USD$9.99 along with the highly anticipated Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction Demo, the very much M-rated Conan Demo, and an NHL 2k8 Demo. The new gaming videos are a Folklore Launch Trailer, Uncharted Behind The Scenes Video 2, and a Fallout 3 Teaser.

While the Ratchet and Clank demo is high on my to-play list, I’m very interested in Conan, which might be one of those games that gets buried under higher-profile titles this fall. It’s supposed to be quite brutal and gory, but if the underlying game mechanics are good I’ll at least be queuing it up for a rental.

In the free wallpaper department we get two new Ratchet and Clank items, an Everyday Shooter wallpaper, a Go! Sports Ski wallpaper, can and Uncharted wallpaper.

Was just listening to an interview with the developer of Ratchet & Clank Future on IGN’s most recent Podcast Beyond. You’d enjoy it, Paul.

I just played Ratchet, wow….what a great game. It’s a day 1 buy for me, no doubt!

Stephen, great podcast recommendation. Here’s the link:

Bill, yes the Ratchet demo is excellent. A little bit of slowdown here and there at the edges of the cut scenes but during the game it looked really great and is still really funny. The disappointed-looking goldfish that have fallen out of their robot bodies (now I KNOW Stephen wants to play it) are just one example of how funny the game can be. And then you squish them. :-)

The Conan demo is excellent, definitely download that one too. A definite rental and probably eventual purchase for me…maybe not at release — too much to play.

Plus I really like Everyday Shooter. Everyone should play that one.
