Kick his ass, Link.

While it’s not even the slightest bit of a surprise to me, today it was announced that Sonic the Hedgehog will be a playable fighter in the new Super Smash Bros Brawl. Nintendo claims that there was a significant amount of fan request for him as a fighter, and the wording on the Brawl site seems to imply that this wasn’t a decision the developer made themselves…. like online play.

Note the hesitance, similar to when talking about lag in the online play function of the game. Also take the time to watch the video introducing him on the site.
