Official Wii testimonial site opens… due to “growing Wii phenomenon.” (giggle)

    By Stephen Munn | October 10, 2007

When the Wii’s buzz seemed to be entirely by accident, I really liked it. It was interesting to see popular desire and choice winning out over… well, over what we all expected to happen: total Sony domination. Now it seems Nintendo is unsatisfied with letting the buzz continue to sell their Wii, and they feel a need to create a place to channel that buzz into happy pro-Wii propoganda. They call it My Wii Story.

The site is clean, as all Nintendo’s new sites are now, but it feels very strange to wade through all this stuff, regardless of whether it’s all genuine. I think what might have been a better idea would be to have all this stuff stay on their MySpace page.

Read on for a press release.
