Ninja Gaiden II, Metal Marines, and Gate of Thunder in the Wii Shop Channel.

My recent review of Ninja Gaiden for the NES on Virtual Console reflected my regret at spending 500 Wii Points on it, and that regret impacts my reaction to the arrival of Ninja Gaiden II: The Dark Sword of Chaos. I half recall playing through all three Ninja Gaiden games on the NES back in the Good Old Days, and I didn’t find a whole lot in Ninja Gaiden to make me happy about revisiting that particular nightmare. This doesn’t change the fact that I’d love to play the new Ninja Gaiden games, such as Sigma.
Adding to this is the fact that Metal Marines and Gate of Thunder appeared today. It’s remarkable because Gate of Thunder was apparently a CD-ROM game for the Turbografx, so that’s a big deal. Hoever, I had never heard of either of those games, and they don’t look appealing to me either. Right now I’m hanging onto some points for Simon’s Quest anyway, so this will just keep me from buying more. Wake me when that game arrives, kay?
