Metal Gear Solid 4 Further Delayed Into Mid 2008

Konami has announced that Metal Gear Solid 4 will be released in the second quarter of 2008, putting what is widely considered one of the two most anticipated PS3 titles further out of reach. This, of course, further weakens the appeal of the PS3, new low price or no, and puts MGS4 alongside the other most anticipated title for the system, Little Big Planet, in the distant mists of mid-2008.

Funniest bit is from Joystiq:
“Konami further promises that pushing Metal Gear Solid 4 into the April-June arrival window will ensure it “meets everyone’s expectations.” We certainly hope so, as our expectations have been sitting at the airport with nothing to do for years now but read interviews with Ryan Payton.”

It’s a PS3 game. Was a delay anything less than normal. This was the one game you wanted to see come out on time. Especially when it had already been delayed.
Top franchises cannot continue to be delayed time and time again for the PS3. What it the motive to buy one when there is no supply of games to play.
the funny thing is there was a article on here about sony and there lateness and people were saying how it only happened with games that sony did not help with like 3rd party and stuff well if they don’t get some continues good games soon the only thing the ps3 will be good for is a cheap blue-ray player
We hear mostly about the delays, but some big titles have hit the mark and come out on time. Ratchet and Clank made it out on time, as will Uncharted now that it’s gold. Kane & Lynch will be out early, I’m seeing now the 14th on all platforms. Call of Duty 4 is also due out on time on the 5th. With luck it will stand tall alongside the 360 version.
Anyway you splice it there’s lots to play even if your only console is the PS3. Even from last month. I’m still in the early chapters of Folklore and really enjoying that one, and Ratchet will reach my door sooner or later.
