Aeropause Revamped
So you’ve just landed on Aeropause, again and noticed that things just aren’t the same as they used to be. Well we’ve changed the look ever so slightly and added a few new features, with more to come in the near future. What did we change? Well the main difference is that the content is now in the middle, which makes it easier to read. Comments are now threaded so you can reply to the person you want to argue address. Additionally, If you fancy a particular author’s posts, you can now click on their name and get just the posts they write. No more comment spam, too – you will now need to register on the site to get the word out here. We will be adding some more Ajax-like features soon, too. Stay tuned!

Hey folks. The site looks great! Lots of nice updates/changes. Well done.
Looking good. The only issue I’ve been having is its slow (don’t know if that’s a work internet issue or the site) and sometimes there’s html/css spew at the bottom of the rendered pages. This seems to happen more on the comments than the main page.
looks very interesting has this joystick type of feel to it
Joystick?
Thanks, Morph. I’ll look into the spewing. As for speed, yeah I noticed that too. I’ll check into things.
my bad i meant joystiq as in Joystiq.com
I beg to differ
I didn’t look at that site once while reworking it.
Not a huge fan of signing up to comment but I wanted to comment on the portal post.
Couple of issues:
1) The Atom feed (and signup email) is calling this Aeropause-New. At least the feed is finally including paragraph tags, I was getting so sick of the wall-of-text that the atom feed had become that I was about to post some angry forum messages
2) Why do the comments want me to re-enter my URL and make me tick the remember personal info box when I entered my URL in the account signup page
Andrew, thanks for the feedback. I will look into your comments. It remembered the URL for me. Do you have javascript enabled?
I do, and it remembers the URL now that I’ve ticked “remember personal info” – but the first time I commented it didn’t automagically use the URL that I entered when I signed up.
