    Wii Acquired

    By James Munn | September 2, 2007

Pile o' WiiOkay so, about a year ago I had completely signed off of every single new home console hitting the market. The 360 was unreliable, the PS3 was too expensive and the Wii didn’t have anything I wanted to play. Now, all three are still true but somehow, I own all three. What the hell happened?

I got married to a gamer chick in April, that’s what. She went out “food shopping” earlier today and ended up calling me from Toys R’ Us saying that there were Wii’s behind the counter waiting to be purchased. I always said that I’d purchase a Wii as soon as I didn’t have to wait in line for one and she sure did call me on it. I gave her the thumbs up to buy it and pick up an extra controller and a nunchuck.

She comes home with the Wii, Wii Play (”because it comes with a controller for only $10 more”) and an extra nunchuck. After unpacking and taking a look at those horrid A/V cables and AA batteries, I’m off to Circuit City to pick up the Nyko charging station and a Component cable.
