Some Call of Duty 4 Beta Users Get 24 Hour Ban
By Joe Haygood | September 6, 2007

In the beginning of the Call of Duty 4 beta, you received a token that allowed you to download the beta. Seems that the security process on these tokens was limited at best, because you could use them signed in on another Xbox 360 and download the beta to that machine and make everyone eligible to play. The security hole has been fixed and today the hammer came down on those that violated the one system, one token rule.
Microsoft is prepping a statement that basically states that this use of the tokens was a violation of the terms of service, and that the 24 hour ban that these users are getting is not permanent and that it amounts to more like a “slap on the wrist”. And the ban is for 24 hours from the Live service, not just the Call of Duty 4 beta.
I guess you could always bust out your army men collection and start making your own stop motion Call of Duty movie.
