You know, this Wikipedia editing is getting to be so widespread, we could write a weekly column on the changes considering how often people in the industry are getting caught. This time it is Halo 3 on the receiving end of the changes.

Seems that someone from an IP address in Liverpool, England added an entry to Halo 3′s page on Wikipedia. The change in the Halo 3 wiki stated, “Although it won’t look any better than Halo 2″. The edit comes from the IP address 217.18.23.2 that is registered to a little company known as Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. Well, good to see that Sony feels that they need to go this route to try to deter sales of a game. They need to understand that not only will these methods not work, they will most likely make people hate those that made the changes more than anyone else.

    What a bunch of turds.

I hate when I see people saying that, like how would thye know anyway. The Beta, which I played, was absolutely beautiful. When compared to Halo 2, it blew it out of the water. I can never go back and play Halo 2 after seeing the bright, colorful and pretty Halo 3.

Then, for Sony to go and due that, wow, insanely stupid. Although it could be a Sony employee at work doing this, and the person could be a complete PS Fanboy and bitter. It might not be a Sony management ploy at all.

To be fair, you can’t blame the actions of one rogue employee on all of Sony. Perhaps Sony needs to impose some restrictions on what their employees can do from Sony’s company computers.

Unfortunately, the company is always held responsible for the actions of its employees while on the clock. If I get into a car accident on company time, the company will be footing the bill.

But I do agree that this just proves that network admins are not doing their job. Things like this should be locked up by a company like Sony. Its not that difficult people.

eh just as joe said its not going to change the sales number or any thing but it does burn me up!!! lol watch i bet there is gona be some retaliation from the halo fandom im betting on FF getting some kind of change loll

That’s pretty sad and desperate when Sony has to resort to going to websites to sabotage the competition.
