Interested in the Complete Guitar Hero 3 Set List?

With the release of Guitar Hero III soon to be upon us, a friend of mine from Gamespot was nice enough to tip me off on the full set list for the game. He has all the songs by stage, including encore and extra songs you can buy from the store.

To be honest, some of the bands in the extras section are foreign to me beyond Dragonforce and Lacuna Coil. But the set list is solid top to bottom and I like the way the difficulty looks to escalate all the way to the top where we get probably the hardest song of the bunch in Metallica’s “One” Hit the jump to see the full listing.

yeah, I like this list, and it LOOKS legit, but here are my problems with it:
The Devil Went Down To Georgia is NOT the final encore. First off, this is a 3.5 minute song, and even assuming that the note chart would be for the fiddle, there is about an entire minute where neither the fiddle nor a guitar plays. This would be an absolute terrible shame if this was the encore, and would let down a LOT of loyal GH fans.
Also, guess what song has been confirmed for GH3 from the start? She Builds Quick Machines by Velvet Revolver. Hey, guess what song isn’t even on this list. Oh yeah, it’s She Builds Quick Machines. This list is definitely just rumor and speculation, and should absolutely not be regarded as fact.
Oh, and Atreyu is supposed to be in it as well.
The songs seen here that haven’t already been confirmed(other than Devil Went Down To Georgia) would actually make good additions to GH, so I hope that they are based on more than just rumor, or are not completely made up.

There will be 2 songs by Velvet Revolver. We have one of those already and the another that will be released soon, according to wikipedia. Atreyu will be on there, too. I believe that the Guitar hero camp is keeping the “Aces in the Hole” for a couple more weeks, to keep Harmonix in the dark, before Rock band is released in November. Rumors are going around that A/C D/C and Led Zeppelin may show up on this Guitar Hero. As far as “The Devil Went To Georgia”, being a final encore, I cannot even come close to believing that one. The song will be harder than that and it will have hard guitar parts all the way thru the song. “Devil” has alot of violin or “fiddle”, if you will and I refuse to believe that is the finisher song. I think the speculator is partially right about the top section and mostly right about the bonus songs.

There are somehings that amke me beleive this list and some that don’t i’l list them now

Believe:
1. The sex pistols song wasn’t confirmed until after this list was released meaning they knew the sex pistols would be on before it was announced
2. All the songs seem to be in the appropriate position as far as tier that they’d be in (yes i do beleive monsters would be that far up its badass song witha sick solo)

Disbeliefe:
1. She Builds Quick Machine’s isn’t on it
2. The devil went down to geogia would be a horrible finisher song, i liek the song but i dont wanna play the fiddle sorry
3. the 7th tier doesn’t have a co-op encore (i have a feeling the 8th won’t even in teh real game)(perhaps the 7th tiers co-op encore is she builds quick machines hmm)

that’s it for me but eya the set list is pretty badass, if it’s true i cant wait to play FCPREMIX, My Curse, Before i Forget, Pride and Joy, Monsters, and pretty much teh whole set list (though i had wished that Paradise city was on it not welcome to the jungle xD)

Well the last tier is Hell-themed, you have Raining Blood, One, Number of the beast…etc, Lou is “the devil” you play against as a final boss – I think the song you duel him in is Devil went down to Georgia, that makes more sense… then, they could make the Last Encore song be Stairway to Heaven, and all would be complete.

This list is indeed very real. 15 songs have been confirmed since this list leaked, and every single one are on it. Now if any songs not on this list appear on the game as well, we will have to see.

The Devil Went Down to Georgia is going to make a sweet final encore because it is a cover… The song has been made metal! So you wont have to play the fiddle and im sure theyll do something about the pauses as well because the great makers of guitar hero wouldnt let us down with a shitty song…

also on gh1 it says “they dont want you to play freebird” and that appeared in gh2

well it wld make sense if TDWDTG was the song you dueled him in since the whole point of the song is a duel between the guy and the devil. then stairway to heaven wld be the actual final encore.

Okay, Brandon. Think about it. Lou/Devil is rumored to be a boss in there. What better boss to end with for a guitar game than the Devil? Devil Went Down to Georgia. Sneaky, innit? If you just played the fiddle part instead of guitar, that’s a pretty awesome song by itself. I don’t think anyone would be disapointed.

the last song are all hell themed, and the devil went down to georgia is the logical closure point, and when you beat the devil in a rock off (cough Tenacious D rip off cough) you will ascend to heaven as a Rock God, hence the ten minute stairway to heaven.
