Ein Teasersite Graymatter Launch.

My father-in-law might smack me for pretending to speak German, seeing as how he actually can do that impressive feat, but I couldn’t resist the temptation. Only days after I fell over onto some old Gray Matter information and relayed the… well, what could only loosely be interpreted as news seeing as it was over a month old… uh, I showed you the screenshots, if you recall, and talked about how exciting it was to see a new Jane Jensen game.

Continuing their trend of providing information about the game, which is always a good thing when you’re making one, Anaconda has launched a teaser site for Gray Matter, complete with a trailer, mostly consisting of moving versions of the screenshots we’ve already seen with some brief strings of German text that are not hard to understand even if you don’t know the language.

New Sites, new boards and new content

To each impressive new project its own forum: Mata Hari, Windchaser, Gray Matter, the first adventure from the well known game creator, Jane Jensen, since the release of Gabriel Knight 3, all have their own spaces on the ANACONDA board. The developers themselves may also say a few words from time to time… And, talking of Gray Matter, a teaser site and the current trailer are also now online.

/me starts foaming at the mouth.

Jane’s other games were SO good. It was disappointing when Sierra (or their parent) decided that adventure games had gone the way of the dodo. Even the last King’s Quest was less adventure and more platformer.

I’m hoping that it comes to a console, say the PS3 (please no more Windows-only games!), so I can enjoy it since I’ve long since decided to get out of the rat-race known as PC gaming and staying up-to-date on the hardware required to play that year’s releases.

I’d be satisfied with a Mac release alongside the PC release, but I don’t see a company this small doing that. Maybe if sales were strong enough Aspyr would pick it up.
