What is 070829

I had a friend of mine send me a link in an instant messenger chat. Nothing to it really, just www.070829.com. So I went to the website and was presented with a weird flash animation. Again, I was unsure of what it was, so I started cruising the web searching for answers.
Finally, I stumbled across a website called jkOnTheRun, which gave me a picture (used above), and some info on a New Nokia phone that is coming out soon. Nothing at Network Solutions comes up. All they show is a registry going back to tucows.net.
Well, since it is registered in England, the format of the website would resemble the Year, Month, Day format. This would look like Nokia is announcing the launch date of the new phone, which will be August 29, 2007. This is mostly speculation, but it seems like it is all pointing in the right direction.

The image in your screenshot has multimedia control icons incorporated, like play and fast-forward. I’m guessing it’s Nokia’s challenge to the iPhone.
It’s registered in the United Kingdom, not specifically England. Please, please learn the difference – simply saying England is akin to calling a Canadian “American” or something.
Secondly, here in the UK we don’t use a silly format like Y/M/D, we use D/M/Y.
Sorry for the offense. I actually use to live at RAF Lakenheath as a kid for several years in Sussex County, so I understand that the UK includes England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Just sometimes I use England as shorthand, which is not always correct.
I did think that the Brits uses YMD, but if that is not the case, I apologize again. No offense was meant.
The United Kingdom is actually: England, Wales, Scotland and Southern Ireland.
Northern Ireland is Not included in the United Kingdom. It Stands Alone!
We Australians also use Date, Month, Year.
Elizabeth – get a map.
