While you’ll still rely on the PSN to list online Warhawk servers, players everywhere will be able to run their own servers in a wide variety of modes. At the extreme of altruism we have the dedicated online server mode where you run the server but can’t play on it, and at the other extreme you can have an online server that can host 24 players plus four players running split-screen on the same console. These features and more were detailed in a juicy Warhawk FAQ posted on the PlayStation Blog earlier this week. I noticed the FAQ mentioned on EvilAvatar. The slate of configuration options related to split screen play alone is pretty beefy.

Does the game have split-screen online?
Yes, 2, 3 and 4-way online and off-line. We also provide a server option that admins can set that controls whether or not players can be connected via split screen and yet another server admin option that controls whether or not split-screen players can be on opposing teams. If you are hosting a competitive game or clan match or something, you may want to make sure that your players aren’t “screen-hunting.” And yes, these options are available if you host your own player, dedicated or ranked dedicated server.
