Warhawk Comes with an Ankle Bracelet

In our last podcast, we talked about how the PS3 had the most open and liberal system when it came to upgrading the hard drive, installing Linux or even taking your downloaded games from one house to another. But today, we found out that Warhawk would not have such portability. While you will be able to play it on another machine, you can only play it on one machine in that day. So if you load it at a buddy’s house, that is the only machine that can play that license of Warhawk that day.
I think everyone had to feel this was coming. Sony has been very open about the system, but it looks as if limits will start coming to the PS3. So far, this is the only game like this, but sometimes it only takes one to start a flood of copycats.

Considering how downloaded content is half-locked to the console for the 360 and fully locked to the console with the Wii, I think this is a fair system.
This way you can show your friends what the game is like if and only if you don’t want to play it until the following day. Plus it’s in your best interest to erase the game when you leave so that they can’t play it first and keep you locked out for that day.
yea I agree, it could be a lot worse. This is a pretty big game for sony, its not some small little cute puzzle game, so this makes sense.
what does get me though is that apparently only one user on the same PS3 can play the game…in other words if you have a ps3 with your account and your girlfriend has an account on your system, she won’t be able to play it…..i think thats bull and hopefully a mistake that will be fixed soon.
i can’t wait to get this game regardless
