Super Metroid tomorrow. Don’t forget.
As part of Nintendo’s month-long string of promotional acts supporting their upcoming star Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, which will be busily owning me come next week, Super Metroid is scheduled to appear on the Wii Virtual Console tomorrow. Happily, I took the week off from work for the release when Metroid Prime 3 was supposed to show up on Tuesday, so instead it looks like I have the week off for this, and I’ll be back at work on the following Tuesday when Corruption comes out. That’s OK. A week off is a week off.
It should be clear by now that I’ve been looking forward to Super Metroid. It is only the fourth of my most anticipated games for the Virtual Console to actually materialize. Here’s the commercial that aired for the game when it first appeared in 1994. Like it? Go see more.
