New War Pong Game Developed by 10th Grader

While the picture above will bring memories to most gamers of a simpler time, The BBPS.com sent us news of a new version of Pong that was designed by a 10th grader using the XNA toolkit. But this is not your average, ordinary game of Pong. This is Pong with guns. Microsoft wanted to show off the versatility and ease of use of the XNA toolkit and one of the game submissions that they received was from David Hu, a 10th grader from Toronto.
The game basically plays like Pong, but your paddle also comes fully strapped with weapons that allow you to try and destroy the other paddle while also concentrating on hitting the ball. The game sounds like a blast to play and the guys at The BBPS have a rough video showing off the gameplay. The game is also ready for cross platform play through the Games for Windows platform. There is no mention of if the game will actually come out, but it shows what can be done by anyone with the XNA toolkit.
