I had Vista installed on my gaming rig for a few weeks, and then I finally took it off because of the Video driver stopped responding error. I also would have been a lot better off with the other patch that turned on SLI recognition two weeks ago.

vista's memory management was already vastly improved over xp, particularly if you add a cheap USB key for readyboost. it doesn't matter how much ram it uses when the system is more responsive than xp under the same circumstances :P

I haven't noticed much difference with the update, although it does seem that as claimed, the offline file sync behaviour has improved (I use a linux samba server).

Windows has never, and my guess is, WILL never manage memory worth a flying ^%$#!

Its pretty sad when an OS uses 3 or 4 hundred meg of ram just at idle. I'm sure Dell and HP LOVE this about windows, but me, not so much.

I've had it installed for a few days... haven't noticed a huge improvement, but files move faster now.
