Lair To See Stranglehold in September

Submitted by on August 2, 2007 – 8:00 am3 Comments

factor5logo.pngThe official PlayStation Blog has a new post up announcing the bumping of Lair from August to September 4th due to issues QA’ing the online leaderboards. The game had previously been noted as having gone gold.

Stranglehold was also initially slated for August, but recently moved to September as well, the 17th for now, leaving the Xbox 360 and PC versions to debut in August.

I’m all in favor of holding a game to clean it up, but seeing a second much-anticipated PS3 title slip a bit doesn’t make me feel much better. I suppose I should be thankful they’re not cancelled entirely.

if Stranglehold aint coming til September we shall find it in the bargain bins by December cause it’s gonna get passed over by quite a few gamers.

CheapyD noted on his E3 CAGcast that he was shocked to find Stranglehold to be such a fun and very good shooter. He’d expected a movie-licensed game to not do well, but when he played it he liked it quite a bit.

If it can generate strong word-of-mouth and strong reviews, it might hold its own going into the holiday season.

Stranglehold is a lot of fun and if gamers decide to pass it over, it will be ashame, because it has a well written story from what I have watched and the gunplay is right there. Occasionally, there were some repetitive motions in regards to the slow motion stuff, but overall, it looks like a great game. I have my pre-order in for August 27th on the PC.
