Honorary Darwin award

darwinawards.jpgHonorary Darwin awards, as you may be aware, are given to those who attempt to remove themselves from the gene pool, but fail. Today, one 14-year-old boy from North Carolina wins the honorary mention.

Apparently, he had read online that to keep the 360 from overheating, you should cool its power supply. He wrapped it in plastic and tape, and still plugged in, submerged it in a pan of water. Now obviously, having taken the time to wrap the power supply up and then get a pan of water, he had time to think this through. Any 14-year-old should know that water and electricity do not mix. Maybe he thought the plastic and tape would protect him, but he wasn’t even smart enough to unplug the console.

He lost consciousness and suffered small burns, but wasn’t killed.

Well obviously he would still keep it plugged in AND plugged into the console. He thought he was creating a water cooled power supply while it was running.

Betcha he was thinking he was soooo much smarter than everyone else because he was the first to think of this “simple solution”.

    HA!

Yikes, don’t they teach that in like grade 2 Science class?
